ZHERLO: the throat of the world

The Kola Superdeep Borehole is open again, and the Program has put you at the controls of ZHERLO, a thermal drill bound for the centre of the Earth. Vent the reactor in time to surge deeper. Vent late and it blows; run the tanks dry and you stall. Haul back Research, rebuild the drill, and go deeper than the last crew dared.
